The benefits of R290
R290, also known as propane, is an environmentally friendly refrigerant that is increasingly used in heat pumps. It has a very low global warming potential (GWP), meaning it contributes significantly less to global warming compared with traditional refrigerants. Furthermore, R290 offers high energy efficiency due to its excellent thermodynamic properties, which can lead to lower energy costs. The gas can operate effectively across a wide temperature range, improving the performance of heat pumps in both heating and cooling modes.
