Welldana® Inverter Plus, is a very efficient heat pump, 65% larger COP than ON/OFF models and designed for air temp. down to -7°C. The heat pump is primarily intended for heating pools in the summer.
Winter operation: If the heat pump is to be used during the winter months in the Nordic climate, the factory-set defrosting parameters must be adjusted. Then contact the dealer. The heat pump's operating range is for air temperatures between -7 and 43°C and pool water temperatures between 9 and 40°C. Note that when the pool water temperature falls below 4°C, the heat pump goes into frost-protected mode and stops until the temperature is 8°C or above again. . We recommend raising the heat pump 30cm above the ground to avoid the build-up of ice from defrosted water. The effect of a heat pump decreases in line with the outside temperature. Therefore, it is a good idea to install an electric heater on the pool system as a backup if the heat pump cannot keep up at low temperatures.
