Hayward StarClear filter is a whole different filosophy in water filtration. Normally, in Scandinavia, we use sand filters. This has four cartridge filters, which with a very big surface, is filtrating all the way down to 20-25 µ.
Sand filters is filtrating without flocculant, down to 4-5 µ. The advantages with StarClear is, that it rarely needs to be rinsed. (1-2 times a year), and therefore there can be large operational savings.
But remember the water gets cleaner with a sand filter with AFM®
