A pool robot is in rough features an automated vacuum cleaner for your pool. The robot’s purpose is to clean up the pool for dirt, impurities, algae, and undissolved chemicals – with so little help from you as possible. Pool robots exist with a battery  and with a cable. Which robot is the best?

It will of course depend on what your expectations and use are. It depends on the size of your pool. But there must be no doubt, that the pool robots are the way to go. They will clean your pool while you relax, and they will do it cheap (operation wise). The low noise level makes them especially attractive compared to other systems. While they are circulating, they distribute the chemicals in your pool, which results in less use of chemicals. Most pool robots can furthermore clean up the walls and waterline.

Is a pool robot worth it?

It can look like a lot of money to buy a pool robot and you may think the starting price is relatively high. However, the robot is an investment for the future and for you. Because you are not of cleaning your pool with a brush in your hand, and sweat on your forehead anymore. More about pool robots: Normally they get their power from an independent power source and drives independently by the pump system. The power source is most frequently a kind of transformer, that is to be set nearby the pool. Normally the robots have 2 engines. 1 for cleaning through the filter, and 1 for driving and turning. Typical there are 2 brushes – 1 in front and 1 in the rear. These brushes are made of plastic, rubber, latex or other synthetic materials, and are used to scrape little particles of the bottom or sides.

How frequent should I clean my pool?

The most ideal is to clean the pool every week, but it can be hard to find time to do it. Alternatively, every 2 – 3 weeks, of course depending of how exposed your pool is to dirt.

Are pool robots better than the manual method?

There is no doubt that a pool robot is much easier to use, than to do it manually. But it would be a lie to say that the robot filter (which go down to 50my) is better than conventional filters (which are going down to 5 my).
